The Farmer and the Golden Goose
A poor farmer once owned a magical goose that laid one golden egg every day. The farmer sold the eggs and became rich. But soon, his greed grew.
"If the goose lays one golden egg a day," he thought, "there must be a treasure inside her!"
Impatient, he killed the goose to get all the gold at once—but found nothing inside. Now, he had neither the goose nor any more golden eggs.
Moral: Greed destroys the source of good things. Be patient and grateful for what you have.
